Jennifer Coyle

in her own words…

What do you want to be when you grow up?  The answer, then and now, is a writer.  As I hit midlife, I can say that writing - in different guises and for widely different audiences - is what I do and what I’ve always done best. As a novelist, a copywriter, a journalist, a columnist and an ardent diary-keeper, writing keeps me sane.

You’ll find me on Twitter but seldom on Instagram.  I like the pictures but it’s not the place for the sharp exchanges of wit and wisdom that I live for. As I hit the half-way mark of life, I’m a new gardener and faintly jaded parent. I’m happiest in water and love living by the sea. As an Irish person in the quite warm South of England, I can’t stand being too hot, so bracing dips all year round suit me fine.

I’m happiest pottering about at home; disentangling fiendish plot twists. Midlife means contentment as well as an ever-brighter flame of ambition. The best is yet to come, and I’m ready for it.
