t h e w r e n wings her way to you today with our next edit; a love letter to concepts and creations we admire - from style, art, beauty, food, interiors and any other lovely things we feel you’ll like – for when a little aesthetic distraction is required – curated today by Ellie Balfe and Marie Kelly.

Short and Sweet

This chic tie-dye co-ord from Zoe Jordan is part of the designer’s recently launched Museo collection. The cashmere-blend bomber-style cardigan and shorts in gorgeous Neapolitan shades will work beautifully for holidays, as they won’t take up much space in your suitcase but they’ll offer a variety of versatile outfit options. Throw the shorts over your swimsuit at lunchtime, for instance, or drape the cardi over a dress in the evenings for a little low-key sophistication. Grimaldi Edison top, €328; shorts, €167.

Linen Love

This gorgeous 100% linen jacket is reduced from €59.99 to €29.99 at shop.Mango.com. I love this warm shade of yellow and the streamlined single-breasted cut. Throw it over casual summer separates for a smarter look, or pair it with jeans and a T-shirt for easy summer chic. Available in sizes 4-24.

Crochet Cool

Have you heard of Craftcore? It’s the trend for homespun-style bags that took the spring/summer catwalks by storm this year. While Prada is charging almost €1,500 for its raffia crochet tote, this gorgeous handheld bag by sustainable Irish label Made Obvious costs just €120.

Top Forms

In association with The Kildare Gallery, The Montenotte Hotel in Cork is housing a stunning contemporary sculpture exhibition until August 28. Forty-seven sculptures by 27 leading Irish and Ireland-based artists feature, offering a brilliant opportunity to explore the medium, while enjoying the hotel’s beautiful Victorian sunken gardens. Pictured is Stephanie Hess with her bronze work, Tender & Loving.

It’s a Wrap…or Is It?

Stable of Ireland has sustainability and style mastered with this versatile 100% Irish linen towel robe, which functions as a towel, a sarong, a wrap dress, an oversized scarf and a picnic mat. Available in red (my favourite) and Green also, it’s a brilliant buy at €120.

Home Sense

I spotted this blanket in independent lifestyle store Indigo & Cloth during the week and I loved the texture of it (it’s made from 100% cotton), the whimsical design (by Irish-based illustrator Ruan Van Vliet) and the sentiment (it’s called Happy Home blanket); limited edition, €230.

Art Live & Print Party

Over the next four months, Maser will be creating a new collection of work in the Atelier Now Studio to prepare for his solo exhibition at Gormleys Fine Art this Autumn, and his studio is open for people to wander in and watch him work as he creates. Atelier Now are also hosting a Print Party next Saturday, the 30th July where the last of Maser’s current prints will be sold - there’s free pizza slices and drinks by Jameson and Absolut too - see you there!

Supplement Saviours

These Irish-made supplements hit our radar in recent weeks and we are intrigued, to say the least! Key For Her is a company set up to consolidate the best ingredients a woman needs in a simple, subscription-based model. They also have a great new podcast and have a rich resource of information on their website as transparency and access to information are a key part of their values. A pal of mine has been trialling the Peri/Menopause supplements and the daily Collagen to great effect, so on the back of that I’ve just placed my first order and will report back!
